Molly is the kind of person you want to be friends with from the moment you meet her....however, I have to laugh at how long it took us to finally meet in person! This past summer, we set up several meetings and kept cancelling on each other for various reasons until we FINALLY got a chance to talk over bagels at Panera in August. And from that point on, I knew we were going to be a perfect match for each other! (okay, so Lang is really her perfect match...but wedding photography-wise, we make a great pair) Anyway, after setting up an e-shoot this fall, getting to meet her fiance, and warming them up to the camera (which was easy with this photogenic couple), I am SO pumped to be a part of their wedding day next September. If these images are any indication of how it's going to go, then start the countdown now :)

I had the pleasure of taking engagement photos for Lynne and Drew in New York City this summer thanks to a mutual friend who set us up. I got the chance to explore the Upper East Side a little bit and visit one of their favorite parks in the city. I got to the park earlier than planned because I took an express train - which was a good thing because I ended up sitting by the East River, enjoying a few moments to myself away from the hustle of the city
Our shoot was just as relaxing. We got the chance to compare stories from home (all three of us were Virginians living in NYC), and they happily told me about their wedding day plans. It was so great getting to know these two!
PS - Clearly I am behind on blog posts....

This engagement shoot was the first time I met Ryan (on my third day in the city, I believe). I won't lie - I was nervous. But it came naturally, as it usually does, and by the end of the shoot I was in my element, despite being surrounded by the concrete jungle that is so not my element (at least it wasn't at the time). I remember getting back on the subway after this to head home and just thinking about how ready I was. Ready to take more pictures. Ready to learn. Ready for NYC.
