October Wedding

Yesterday I headed to Lynchburg for another wedding with Sam (and his assistant, Mitchell, who is literally Zac Efron's twin).  We started off at Tresca on 8th, an event venue in downtown Lynchburg where the girls were getting ready and where the reception would be held later that night.  The owners of Tresca are super nice and fun...if you're planning a wedding in this area, I highly recommend working with them!

After getting a few shots there, we headed to the church for the ceremony.  It was a pretty big church with gorgeous stained glass windows and a really high bell tower that Sam, Mitchell, and I climbed for fun when we had some downtime.  The setting outside the church was perfect for pictures...the road was shaded by fall trees on both sides.  This wedding made me realize I definitely want to get married in the fall.  So pretty!

When we got back to Tresca, it looked much different than when we had left, now complete with a DJ, a buffet table, and of course, an open bar (this allowed us to get some interesting pictures later on).  I'm not sure who the caterer was, but the food was SO good.  Either that or I was just so hungry after working all day and not having a chance to eat lunch.  We enjoyed our break eating dinner (I promise we actually do some work...) before heading back out to photograph some crazy dancing.

This couple opted to do sky lanterns instead of bubbles or sparklers.  I had never seen these before, and because it's a pretty new thing no one knew if they would actually work or not.  You light these big white paper bags, they fill up with hot air, then everyone releases them, and the sky lights up with floating lanterns.  They ended up working perfectly, resulting in some cool pictures and a sweet way to end the night.

I won't be doing anymore weddings in October because of Tech games and cheer competitions, but stay tuned for November and for some senior pictures coming up!

Thought this was funny...Sam in the middle of a busy street downtown trying to get the perfect shot.  Gotta do what you gotta do...
